ROAD DOGS

ROAD DOGS

Written by Madeline Coy

Adventure/Drama

The true story of two young, desperate women escaping the constraints of conventional life by hitch-hiking from West Coast to East. The ensuing tale is one of grit, identity, and the duplicity of American life. Their coming-of-age journey reveals the surprising humanity and truth found in strangers along the road. A 'Thelma and Louise' for the 21st century, this is a story of sisterhood that redefines 'On the Road,' 'Into the Wild,’ or 'Stand by Me’ through a groundbreaking female lens.

Available for option.

Film photos from our hitchhiking journey across the U.S.

In 2014, my best friend and I left everything behind and set out on the quest of a lifetime- to hitchhike from California to New York with just a paper map of the U.S. and our two thumbs. These photographs depict candid moments along the journey and, more importantly, the people of the road.
